Terms and content rules

These terms apply to artists who publish a gallery on IllustVault. You accept them in your dashboard before your first set goes up, and they apply for as long as you keep a gallery here.

What the service does

IllustVault hosts download galleries for Patreon artists. You upload image sets, your patrons sign in with Patreon, and they download the sets their tier opens.

Your dashboard includes leak tools, explained there. What you do with their results, for example on Patreon, is up to you.

Your account

  • You sign in with the Patreon account that owns your creator page. One creator page has one gallery.
  • You must be at least 18 and allowed to make this agreement where you live.
  • Who can open which month follows your patrons' Patreon membership and the tier settings in your dashboard. Payments, refunds and pledges stay between you and your patrons on Patreon.

Content rules

  • Legal content only. Nothing that is illegal where you live or where this service runs.
  • Safe for work or mildly suggestive. No explicit sexual content.
  • Only work you have the rights to share. Your own art, or work you have permission to distribute. No images of real people without their consent.

No sexualised depiction of minors, ever. This includes fictional, drawn and anime characters who are depicted as, or look like, minors, whatever their stated age. A gallery that breaks this rule is removed with its files, and the content may be reported to the authorities.

You're responsible for your content

You are responsible for everything you upload and for having the right to share it. IllustVault stores your files encrypted and does not review them before they are published.

Plans and storage

  • Trial gives you 2 GB to set up your gallery. Patrons can't see or download your sets until you're on a paid plan.
  • Basic (25 GB) and Pro (100 GB) open your gallery to patrons. Paid plans can't be bought on the site yet, and prices may change before they can.
  • Storage counts every image you keep here, plus covers. A set that doesn't fit is refused before anything is stored. If you're over your limit, for example after moving to a smaller plan, your existing sets stay available and new sets wait until there's room.

Reports and enforcement

  • Every gallery has a Report link at the bottom. Anyone can use it, including for copyright complaints. Reports go to the people who run this site, not to the artist.
  • We can pause a gallery while we look into a report. A paused gallery shows a neutral notice to patrons, and downloads stop until it's restored.
  • We can remove sets or delete a gallery and its files when content breaks these rules.

Leaving, and contact

You can delete your sets from your dashboard at any time. To close your gallery and delete all its files, or for anything else about these terms, write to the people who run this site.

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page.
